Interests
This website was initially inspired by my commitment to a 2-year program of shamanic studies, but I have many other interests that I’ve realized I would like to include here. This page is meant to introduce the various topics that I’ll be posting about.
- Shamanism - this topic was the initial reason I started this website. You can read more about what I call The Program and the training that I am participating in.
- Yoga - I have been studying yoga since 1997. I haven’t always been very consistent with my practice, but I have definitely noticed the benefits of having continued to study some form of yoga since then. I appreciate it not only for the physical benefits, but also am fascinated by the philosophical and spiritual teachings found in the different branches of yoga.
- Qi Gong - This is a new interest for me that actually came out of my studies of shamanism. I’m now looking into pursuing separate studies into this ancient system of energy work.
- Didgeridoo - I’ve been into music in general since I was a kid, but the last several years I’ve shifted mostly into studying and playing indigenous instruments from around the world. The one I’ve focused on the most is the didgeridoo.
- Technology - this may seem out of place compared to the other topics listed above, but I have to list it since its such a big part of my life. I have a degree in Computer Science and work with computers and particularly internet/web technology every day. I’m fascinated by how people use technology and how we can use it to better communicate and share with each other. This website is my way of using my love for technology to communicate my love of my other interests.
